Free Consultation/Interview

A complimentary interview to get to know one another to see if I am the right fit for your birth.  This usually takes place at a setting outside the home.  

Phone, Text & Email Support 

I am available for unlimited phone, text, and email support from the moment you sign my contract and hire me as your doula.  

2-3 Prenatal Visits 

This is where we spend time getting to know each other and talk about what you want for your upcoming birth, how we work as a team, supplementary education to your child birth class, creating a birth preferences (if you wish), talking about what you can do for support at home, different comfort measures, etc...

During labor 

When it is your birthing time you will contact me to inform me and we will develop a plan from there.  In the early stages phone/text support will be available.  As soon as you wish for me to join you in your birth space I will.  Support will be provided from the time I am invited to join you through your baby's first feeding is over and you are in recovery.

Postpartum follow-up visit 

We usually do a postpartum visit 1-2 weeks after the birth.  This is where you are able to process your birth, ask questions, we talk about how the adjustment is going with baby, and pass along referals if needed.

As a Doula, I Do Not:

  • Doulas are NOT medical professionals

  • I do not perform clinical tasks such as vaginal exams or fetal heart monitoring

  • I do not give medical advice or diagnose conditions

  • I do not judge you for decisions that you make

  • I do not let their personal values or biases get in the way of caring for you (for example, they should not pressure you into making any decisions just because that’s what they prefer)

  • I do not take over the role of your partner

  • I do not deliver the baby
